Episode 11: The Waffle House Revival

Being raised in old time Pentecostalism, David spent more evenings of his formative years at church than at home. At the tender age of three years old, he had a microphone placed in his hand to sing in front of God's people for the first of many times.

Along with stories of supernatural experiences at revival meetings, David tells us of the pressure of being the boy singing on stage in the Lord's house with every eye on you, and how that can become so much of who you are that you're left struggling to discover who you really are.

So pull up a chair, wrap up in a blanket, and have a listen as David opens up about some of the darkest times in his life  and how you ultimately can't outrun the call of God on your life.
